Venue Parking
There is a pay to park system in place. The payment system can be accessed via a unique code provided by Old Oak Training on the day. This code will allow you to park all day. It is your responsibility to pay the parking fee.

Please arrive 30 minutes prior to course start time for registration purposes.
Identification Requirements
Please bring at least one of the following forms of identification – Driving Licence, Driver Qualification Card,
Driver Card or Valid Passport.
Course Type
This course is registered with JAUPT for DCPC uploads.
The Emergency Aid and Driver Fitness course is split into two 3.5 hour modules :-
- Emergency Aid module focusing on how to assist somebody with both life-threatening conditions and minor injuries. You will also learn how to perform rescue breaths and chest compressions (CPR) on an unconscious casualty and how to use a defibrillator (AED).
- Driver Fitness module focusses on your fitness to drive and covers eyesight, alcohol & drugs, medical conditions, driving licence and many more relevant items such as driver’s regulatory responsibilities, the importance of safe driving practices other hot topics that can negatively impact safe driving such as driver fitness, health, distraction, and impairment.
Dress Code.
The Emergency Aid module involves practical activities so please ensure that you dress comfortably as some activities may require you to kneel on the floor. Please inform the trainer on the day if you are unable to participate in the practical activities.
This course contains the following elements :-
On completion of the Emergency Aid & Driver Fitness course :-
Successful candidates will be able to understand the role , including reference to:
- Be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally.
- Be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally.
- Know how to safely use an automated external defibrillator.
- Be able to safely use an automated external defibrillator.
- Be aware of the law and their responsibilities.
- Understand the risks and effects of driving whilst impaired by drugs and alcohol.
- Understand the importance of sleep and the effects of fatigue on their work.
- Understand the importance of taking timely breaks when driving and working.
- Understand the hazards of driving for a living and their impact on other road users.
- Understand the importance of regular eyesight and medical checks and which conditions need to be reported to the DVLA.
