Minibus Driver Essentials

This course provides a recognised standard for the assessment and training of minibus drivers and has been designed to enhance minibus driving standards and promote the safer operation of minibuses.

Course Modules

  • Minibus Driver Essentials

    • The  course includes a half-day classroom theory session, a walkaround check followed by a driving assessment.
    • After the theory session, candidates sit a written test paper, consisting of 20 questions, the answers to which will be contained in the training session.  Each candidate undertakes an on-the-road driving assessment, which takes in to consideration a wide range of road conditions during which the Assessor provides feedback and advice to the candidate during the drive.

Minibus Driver Essentials is available to any organisation operating or using minibuses. Organisations that train their drivers to this standard range from small voluntary organisations with one vehicle, to local authorities operating large fleets of minibuses as well as schools, colleges and universities.
